Marinas are dynamic and often beautiful spaces, but they also come with hidden dangers — particularly for those who fall into the water and are unable to self-rescue. During our chat, we discussed the vital need for change in how marinas approach safety and why many of today’s marinas still don’t have adequate systems in place to alert others if someone falls from a dock.
We also introduce the Man Overboard Marina Alarm System (MOMAS) — a new technology designed specifically to address this risk and support marina operators in meeting their duty of care. It’s already gaining attention from industry leaders and advocates for water safety, and for good reason: it saves lives.
